The collection and use of data is fundamental to ensuring an equitable distribution of public health resources and the development and provision of accessible health care programs. Data on the health status and health care needs of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) community is severely lacking. Using the few data sources that are available, this report aims to shed light on what is currently known about the health status of Riverside County’s LGBT community. The report explores significant gaps in LGBT health data and services so that county agencies and local non-profit organizations can collaborate to close those gaps and work toward reaching health equity
