This study analyzed resilience factors among 425 lesbian, gay, and bisexual youth participants. The authors found positive effects of peer and family support, but that they did not significantly dampen the negative effects of victimization. The findings suggest that mental health professionals should address social support and that public health approaches are needed to reduce victimization.
