This May 2016 policy report examines the disparities between LGBTQ and non-LGBTQ youth in child welfare settings, and discusses the compounding effects of LGBTQ status and race, ethnicity, and other intersecting identities. The report includes policy strategies to ensure LGBTQ youth in child welfare achieve healthy development, safety, and permanency.
