This study is the first to examine physical and mental health-related quality of life, as an indicator of successful aging, among LGBT older adults. Utilizing a Resilience Framework, the authors found that quality of life is negatively associated with discrimination and chronic conditions, and positively associated with positive sense of sexual identity, among other results.
