This January 2014 report was developed with the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. The major finding is the exceptionally high prevalence of lifetime suicide attempts reported by all respondents. The report authors identify mental health factors and experiences of harassment, discrimination, violence, and rejection as contributing to vulnerability to suicide.
