The Impact of Minority Stress on Mental Health and Substance Use Among Sexual Minority Women

This study found a significant impact of minority stressors on mental health and substance use among sexual minority women. The authors recommend that health care professionals should assess sexual minority women for minority stress and coping resources, and refer as needed for evidence-based psychosocial treatment.
