This October 2014 report analyzes 51 studies on transgender parents and their relationships with their children. Among other findings, the studies found that the vast majority of transgender parents categorized their relationships with their children as good or positive generally; that transgender parents have social service needs related to child care and family planning; and that transgender parents face discrimination in child custody and visitation arrangements.
